Explore KDSRetail vs F&B mode explained
Both modes are Xilnex Classic POS. The difference is what the software assumes about the transaction: a basket that leaves the shop, or a service that runs while the customer is still there.
One account covers both. A group running shops and cafes sets the mode per outlet, and head office still sees one consolidated set of numbers.
Built for offline reliability
Connectivity in a mall, a food court or a new-build lot is not something you control. Xilnex keeps the till useful when the connection is not.
The terminal keeps taking money
Checkout carries on against the catalogue and pricing already held locally. Staff are not turning customers away or writing orders on paper while somebody calls the ISP.
Sales queue on the terminal
Every transaction is recorded locally with its own timestamp, so the sequence of the day survives intact.
Everything syncs, with no re-keying
The queue pushes up automatically and the branch reappears in head-office reporting.
Built for multi-outlet operations
One POS backbone keeps branch sales moving, even when connectivity drops.
Frequently asked questions
A few practical answers about running Retail and F&B modes, offline sales, integrations and e-Invoice.
Can I run Retail and F&B modes in the same account across different outlets?
Yes. Classic POS supports both modes under one account.
What happens to sales if the internet goes down?
POS keeps processing offline and syncs once reconnected.
Does Xilnex POS integrate with food ordering platforms?
Yes. It integrates with platforms such as ShopeeFood and GrabFood, syncing orders directly into POS and a unified product catalogue.
How is Xilnex's POS different from single-outlet retail or F&B software?
Every POS mode, Retail or F&B, runs on the same multi-branch backbone, so a franchise HQ manages every outlet from one system instead of stitching together single-store tools as it grows.
Is Xilnex e-Invoice / LHDN compliant?
Yes. e-Invoice is free and fully integrated into Xilnex POS, already heavily used and well received by clients.
Ready to make every outlet work as one?
We will show you which front ends fit where, and what one back office across the whole chain actually looks like day to day.
